US - first impression

there was a post missing in the middle. It was about my visa processing day in chennai. After typing in detail, i thought it unnecessary and left it there in drafts.

My visa processing happened on 7th of January and i left hyderabad on Feb 1st early morning. It was my longest journey so far and more than interesting it was irritating many times. I got into flight at Hyderabad. after take off, crew supplied drinks and dinner. Took some red wine, food and nap. While landing, one guy started conversation and it was like this -
X - Is it your first time
me - first time to where (I do not want to reveal that it is my first travel. There is no offense, but there is no gain revealing truth as well :-))
X- To frankfurt
me - to franfurt, yea this is the first time to frankfurt
X- Oh this airport is so congested
me - ok ( I wanted to contain conversation here because his next question might be " which route you would take normally" :-))

then we exchanged tata good bye and i left to my terminal. Restrooms are so congested here and it can accomodate only one person at a time and there was long Q. I got my turn and refreshed myself by 10 AM. When i looked at the terminal gate, it was long Q. I rushed and got into Q taking out my passport and ticket. one black guy checked my passport and attested it and let me in. My ticket errored out when swiped, i was panic now. Airlines crew checked and informed me that this boarding Q is not for my flight :-(. It was little embarassing, but it was ok :-).

4 Hours in frankfurt was like staying there for whole day in terminal. I had this oppurtunity to sit at window side from Frankfurt to Boston. Sitting besides me was an European old day who does n't know good english. Everything was good except that she drank cheese again and again which was a bit difficult thing for me to digest. It was at the end i looked out my window,it was Atlantic Ocean followed by beautiful snow filled Boston. It was excellent view (At least for me, who is new to natural snow). Few moments later, Flight thundered on to runway. Later immigration, customs check went normal.

I took a bus from Logan Intl airport to Braintree instead of taxi just to gain some impression on the city and people. It lasted for 45 minutes and bus driver helped me out in getting a cab to my guest house. Cab person had tough time finding my address but he was soo patient until we find our apartment. Over all my observation is these guys has got very good helping nature.

Rest of my experience to be continued...
