Missing Part - I

My Schooling,
In 1987, I attended the National high school and started LKG, I remember my first teacher name, alfosamma. She was really a good teacher to start with and of course I am really a good student at that time. I was there for 2 years and was there only because, I cannot go to distant places at that age. In 1989, I joined New Angels English medium school, which is one of the premier schools, good friends, good teachers, good environment. Everything went good till 1992, when I came to fourth standard. Listen what happened at that time, I got really good marks in all subjects except for social studies in which I scored 16 marks out of 100, this is not an acceptable score at my home. Some interesting idea knocked my mind, why cannot I edit the score in progress card, haa, this is a good idea. I went to a place where nobody could see me or even observe me, I did the manual correction from 16 to 76. I saw the rank column blank, I thought why should it be blank, lets fill it up as second rank 2.
I went to my home jumping with my progress card, I could see glow on my mom’s face and my mom started sharing with some of my relatives ( we were joint family). At last a person found that something went wrong. I am almost surprised, how come he found that. Many thoughts surrounded my mind, did I use any other color ink or did I marked something wrong ? all the way frustration growing. Conversation went like this
there is some 60 marks difference in the total he got and total in progress
Mom : lets go to teacher and ask, this difference may change the rank
Finish….Finish….Finish….as my brother was in the same school. He was asked to approach teacher. teacher initially thought, that is her mistake, but my rank explained teacher the situation. I don’t know all these, evening teacher called me at 4:30 (ending hour) and asked me to kneel down for 2 more hours. I could see everybody going out. For 2 hours, I was there like that. I didn’t even had a thought that teacher has already left and I can leave. This was like an eye opener for me. I understood that both honest fellow and a liar always will have a treatment, but for liar, a little more. I tried to kick out the liar from me , but didn’t happen. At seventh class, an incident knocked my life again.
Will update that in next blog
Regards
Sudhie
